This Friday! Last chance to catch a film at The Umbrella Cafe this season!
For the past few months, we've been showing great films at The Umbrella Centre. From I, Daniel Blake to Dazed and Confused to Strangers on a Train. It's been amazing. But. The season has to end for the summer. And we're going out with a bang. We're going out with one of my favourite films of the past 10 years.
These evenings have been brilliant. A wonderful, laid back way to spend a Friday evening. It's like watching a film in a friend's front room. But better.
How much does it cost? Nothing! We ask for a donation of £3 to cover our costs. But that's optional.
What time does it start? Doors open at 6.30, the film starts at 8.
How do I book? Easy - just reply to this email and I'll put you down.
It's in a cafe, right? Does that mean the screen is a bit rubbish? No! 110 inch screen, full HD, huge speakers. It's a genuine cinema experience, but, comfier and more friendly.
So... food? Booze? Oh yes. Pizza, popcorn, cocktails, beer, wine, cake, you name it.
What about the film? So much more than a sports film. It's a film about identity, growing up, growing old. It's about responsibility. OK. I'm terrible at describing films. It's just wonderful.
