Earlier this week, I sent you an email telling you all about the new engagement project #30secondpitch. It's your opportunity to talk directly to the on-line community and potentially thousands of local voters. You read the email, but weren't quite tempted to click through the website and have a look.
I know you're busy. I know that you get hundreds and hundreds of emails every day. But, please, think about recording a #30secondpitch.
Ben Gallagher - the Green Party candidate for Coventry South, shared his pitch yesterday. At the time of writing it has been seen by 168 people. Have a look here. That is quite a few voters in 24 hours, especially when you consider that recording and sharing it only took a few minutes.
This initiative can work really well - for both you and your voters. All it needs is 5 minutes of your time.
So, here is what to do: turn your smartphone to video mode; record a 30 second film; press share and upload it to YouTube; hit share again and tweet the video using #30secondpitch, or email it directly to me at tatton@simplepolitics.co.uk and I will embed / tweet it for you. There are lots of examples already at www.simplepolitics.co.uk.
Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
