The Simple Politics guide to next week in Parliament.

This whole Friday morning email thing normally works a treat. The timetabling of the next week in Parliament is announced by Andrea Leadsom on a Thursday morning. Any questions thrown up by that are largely sorted by the time I press send at 10ish the following day. You then get the guide that you know and, well, tolerate.

This week, however, it is wholly inadequate. Today is a vital day in the history of Brexit and possibly in the history of our country.  What happens this afternoon will shape so totally and so utterly what happens next week, there is no point in taking your time.

As such, I'm going to sign off shortly. Never fear, though, I'm not asking you to make your way through the peaks and troughs of next week without the Simple Politics guide to what's going on. No, there will be a full email, but it will be with you on Monday morning.

So, enjoy today's debate and the voting, have a wonderful weekend and I'll pop back into your inbox on Monday.

Peace and love,
