We're looking across the pond
While we kick back and enjoy this lovely summer, politics in America continues to build. The actual election isn't until November, but the two main candidates are already attacking each other hammer and tongs. Trump may have called for Hillary to be assassinated. Hillary has called her rival a racist. Obama has said he isn't fit for the job. It's all kicking off.
We are going to be covering the election in some detail. Partly because I think many of us get our coverage through facebook videos of Trump, or the odd snippet at the end of the news. Apart from the wall and the ban on Muslims, not many of us can name specific policies of either candidate. We hope to change all that. We've recruited an excellent 'correspondent' over there and she'll be bringing us various bits and bobs over the next 3 months.
We won't just be focusing on the big two names, either. Approval ratings of both are unbelievably low. Nobody really likes them. So, the other candidates are going to be much more in the frame. Life isn't easy outside the two main parties. Keep an eye on social media, we'll explain why they can't even stand in all the states.
