Well. This is awkward.

Officially, Parliament is sitting next week. For two days. There are no Bills being debated in the Commons. It's a very quiet two days followed by three days fo recess. A good week for hobbies.

The truth is that all eyes will be back on Brexit. Negotiations, albeit often informal ones, rumble on. There is a suggestion that a deal might be done by November 21st. To me, it looks like Theresa May has a choice - accept a backstop that either keeps the whole UK in the Customs Union or puts a border down the Irish Sea - or accept no deal at all. Only time will tell if I'm correct in that summary, or, if I am, what her choice will be. I suspect she's not going to sign up to either of those backstop options. But, I've been wrong before (many, many times).

In this week's podcast the lovely Hattie Schofield and I are discussing the various potential outcomes of Brexit. It's a really interesting chat and 'The Simple Politics Podcast' is available wherever you get your podcasts from.

Sunday - Marr is on. 10am Sunday morning. I assume all the chat will be about Brexit. Maybe the tail end of Budget debate.

Monday - The highlight of the week in Parliament - MPs will debate the Cox Report on Bullying and Harassment of House of Commons Staff. I worked in Parliament for three years. This is a real issue. What the impact of this debate will be remains to be seen. Warm words don't change the power imbalance between MPs and staff that creates these issues...

There's also a General Debate on Road Safety.

Tuesday - With MPs back in their constituencies until after Armistice Day on 11th, MPs will debate the centenary today. It will be worth a watch, as deeply eloquent speeches will be made. Elsewhere, there is very little else going on.

Rest of the week - MPs are back in their constituencies. Brexit rumbles on. We'll work on a couple of fun and exciting things to bring you. Be excited.

I've joined twitter!
We've just passed 50,000 likes on twitter, so I thought it would be a good time to create my personal account. I'll be tweeting, in a slightly less formal way, my thoughts on politics (and, occasionally, sport). Follow me here: www.twitter.com/tattonspiller
With so little to tell you about next week, here's a summary of last week's budget.
